Israeli attack in Gaza near a bakery leaves 11 dead, including 9 children

Jerusalem (EFE).- An Israeli bombardment on a group of Gazans in the Al Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City (North of the Strip), left 11 dead, including nine children, according to the enclave’s Civil Defense and Palestinian media via Telegram.

Gazans have been surviving for over a month on the scarce humanitarian aid they have left after Israel decided to block the entry of trucks carrying food, medicine, and fuel into the enclave, claiming that Hamas did not want to release the hostages.

The Palestinian news agency Wafa also reported the killing of eight more people on Sunday afternoon after an air strike on the house in Deir al Balah, in the center of the enclave.

At least 43 Palestinians have been killed since early Sunday, according to Qatar-based Al Jazeera, one of the few media outlets still with reporters in the Strip since Israel’s closure to the foreign press.

Moreover, more than 322 of these victims are minors, according to the enclave’s health ministry, within the 20 days of the Israeli offensive, which has left 1,335 people dead.

On Sunday, the Israel Defense Forces said in a statement that its air force had struck over 130 targets “of Hamas and other terrorist groups” in the Strip during the weekend. EFE
