Madrid, Jun 7 (EFE).- Mario Kart videogames are a classic among the classics, with each new launch bringing improvements that make the experience more fun.

But ‘Mario Kart World’ is not just another game in this successful franchise of frenzied races starring the charismatic Nintendo characters and it achieves the impossible: a perfect cocktail of speed and ‘SuperMario’ characters in an absolutely magical open world.
The latest installment of a videogame series that first launched in 1992, was chosen by the Japanese company at the launch of its new Nintendo Switch 2 console on Jun. 5 with great success.
‘Mario Kart World’ plays at breaking the clichés of a beaten-up genre. As a racing game, with the classic ‘Grand Prix’ modes and competitions, it continues with its formula of success but adds novelties, such as connecting several circuits adding more color and variety in gameplay.
But it is in the ‘Map’ mode where the big change is noticed. The game offers a gigantic world that can be traveled with total freedom, with few limits in exploration.
Thus, their fireballs adapt to the environment and are able to cross immense extensions of water, climb mountains or slide through trees and telephone cables. The creativity of the player and his desire to know set the pace.
The open world of this ‘Mario Kart World’ comes with an improvement in quality from previous ones. With cities to know, secrets to discover, secondary missions to fulfill, collectables to fight for, surprises (like being able to become a truck or a boat) and other unlikely situations in an open world alive and full of characters.
The game continues to maintain some of the characteristics of the traditional action games of ‘SuperMario’, with impossible jumps, enemies to beat, pipes that transport you to other places, hidden areas, coins, magic mushrooms and stars of invulnerability, while accompanied by engaging music and graphics.
The world of ‘Mario Kart World’ is all interconnected and allows free exploration with its 24 different drivers (and some more surprises behind the wheel) who, as always, star in the classic characters of the Nintendo games: Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Peach or the evil Bowser.
In the extensive game universe, we find as a novelty blue signals with a giant ‘P’ that when activated will offer us the possibility of performing challenges of all kinds, in a certain time, adding another dimension to the exploration.
Moreover, it also allows up to 4 players to play simultaneously on screen, as well as online games where players will be able to talk and see one another, if they wish, thanks to the new “GameChat” in video call format.
With ‘Mario Kart World’ Nintendo has opted for the driving adventures of the ‘SuperMario’ universe on the new Switch 2 console, which hits the stores amid enormous expectations, as it seeks to continue the commercial success of its predecessor that sold more than 152 million copies worldwide.
